Age: 20
Describe your addiction: I love all things sugary, fried, and carb-y.
3 foods you can’t live without: Chocolate, pasta, and potatoes
3 foods you can live without: any and all sea food, medium/rare meat, and cottage cheese
Your healthy go-to food: grapefruits all day long
Your favorite way to work out: yoga
Your least favorite way to work out: running for extended periods of time
What is your current health/fitness goal: to fix my diet
What is your biggest challenge when it comes to being healthy? Lack of motivation- for some reason I enjoy being lazy and eating like crap. Also, sometimes I just don't know where to start; it's frustrating when you feel like you have SO far to go to get where you want to be
What motivates you? Fitting into cute clothes, swimsuit season, wanting to look good for my husband, wanting to be able to take care of my future children, getting rid of double-chin stricken photos
What are some of your big goals regarding health/fitness? One day, I want to enjoy eating healthy and exercising. I want to be one of those people you look at and say "Wow, she is so healthy and fit." I want to feel great and I don't want my body to hold me back (emotionally/mentally or physically). Also, I would like to have abs and skinny thighs.

Describe your addiction: SUGAR
3 foods you can’t live without: ice cream, peanut butter, fruit
3 foods you can live without: chocolate, mushrooms, tofu
Your healthy go-to food: fruit- especially frozen- it’s like candy, but without the sugar
Your favorite way to work out: running, weight lifting, yoga
Your least favorite way to work out: hmmmm I don’t love elliptical machines but they are okay.
What is your current health/fitness goal: finish the 21 Day No Junk Food Challenge this month. Start running outside again now that it is getting warmer! Less snacking.
What is your biggest challenge when it comes to being healthy? Motivation to workout—I do a lot better if I have someone to go workout with. Emotional/bored eating—I eat when I am sad or when I am bored, usually they are not healthy foods either.
What motivates you? My grandpa—he started running at the age of 50 and has done tons of marathons. I ran a half marathon with him last year and it was great. He makes me want to be as in shape as he is (he is 78 and still running)! Health related disease I see in my family is also a huge motivator. Not that anyone in my family is completely unhealthy, but I have seen the consequences of minimal physical activity and eating what is easy instead of what is healthy. Also, I want to feel totally confident in my own body. I’m not working out to be skinny, but I want to know that I am doing everything to become a stronger woman. Strong women can do amazing things.
What are some of your big goals regarding health/fitness? Run a marathon (my first) in September of this year. Eat healthy consistently, while not depriving myself. I want to also pick up biking and re-pick up swimming. Maybe do triathalons. I want to run at least 1 race per year (and more when I have the money).

What is your biggest challenge when it comes to being healthy? As a poor college student, I have a hard time finding the time to exercise and the money to eat healthy.
What motivates you? With PCOS, if I don’t get to a healthy weight, I could develop type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, and heart problems. But even more importantly, losing weight increases the chance that I’ll be able to have children. That’s a huge motivator for me.
What are some of your big goals regarding health/fitness? Get to a healthy weight this year, and stay there for life.
Name: Ashlee de Baritault
Age: 19 (almost 20 thank you very much.)
Describe your addiction: Pop… I don’t much like sugar pop, but a diet coke really gets me.
3 foods you can’t live without: Potatoes, Meat, and anything chocolate.
3 foods you can live without: Peanut butter (is that a food?), Pickles, and Onions. Geeze I’m a condiment disliker.
Your healthy go-to food: Apples, or carrots. Both are quick to grab if you’re running out the door.
Your favorite way to work out: I love to run, but I’ve also grown to enjoy Zumba! There’s nothing like dancing around like a crazy person with a bunch of middle aged women.
Your least favorite way to work out: Mostly strength training. I do not like push-ups, squats, wall sits, planks, or any of that. Though, I do them because they are effective.
What is your current health/fitness goal: Right now I’m working on exercise becoming a regular routine, and making sure my food choices are better than they usually are. I want to lose at least 20 lbs. Not for the sake of being “Skinny,” but to be healthy. That’s extremely important to me right now, especially if I want to keep adding to my little family.
What is your biggest challenge when it comes to being healthy? Motivation. It’s so hard to stay motivated, especially when your life is really busy, and you are too tired to move once you’re done with the day. I also don’t get to see my husband a lot because we are so busy, so if he is home there is no way I want to leave him and exercise; which is why I usually will try to drag him on walks with me.
What motivates you? Seeing other people reach fitness goals. I’ve seen my mom and others accomplish so much and it is totally motivating, and reminds me that it is possible for me to do it too. That is why I love watching Biggest Loser. It’s completely motivating seeing the contestants who weigh a lot more than I do lose so much, and accomplish their fitness goals.
What are some of your big goals regarding health/fitness? I want to stop craving things that aren’t good for me. I want to only crave water, fruits, vegetables, and other things that are going to make me healthy, not sugary snacks, treats, or desserts that are going to make me gain weight. As I mentioned before I want to be able to lose 20 lbs. to be where I was when I was healthiest, it’s a very important goal to me, and I currently am motivated to get it done, even though motivation is what limits me.
